“Super friendly staff. I didn’t get their names but the shorter and taller brown haired guys that were there on Friday night are legends! Super welcoming and they know the cocktails inside and out. Cool concept with the cocktails too, I had their take on the margarita.”
“Beautiful fun place to visit with fun looking cocktails. However a lot of them weren't actually that great (Alien Abduction was the best I tried). Service was way too slow and they didn't give you much time to ask questions etc before shooting off. Only managed 3 drinks each before the 2 hour time limit. I suggest if you want to try a few other them all together! Slide and disco toilets are worth a mention. Also see if you can find the secret menu !”
“Come here for an entertaining drinking experience. The Washhouse spins a number of tales and makes you participate in them, from entering through a pretend launderette to ‘decoding’ (not really) a booklet on conspiracy theories instead of looking at a menu. Each cocktail comes with a special themed tray or prop (for example mine came in a basket with a mini French baguette which was actually made from meringue). I’d give this place 5 stars for concept but only 3 stars for the cocktails themselves which are very sweet and quite weak on alcohol. It wasn’t too noisy so we were able to sit and relax and chat very comfortably. The staff were very nice. Our highlight moment was discovering a live DJ booth in the toilets. It’s worth going just to nod and smile at the DJ while coming and going from the toilets. Hi-five for that.”
“Washhouse in Manchester offers a hidden entry concept that creates an intriguing and unique cocktail bar experience. The theme is well thought out, blending a classic speakeasy style with modern touches. Once inside, the atmosphere makes guests feel like they are part of an exclusive experience. The menu features creative and original cocktails, but the flavors could be enhanced with richer ingredients and better balance. One noticeable downside is the low alcohol content, which may not appeal to those looking for a full cocktail experience. Additionally, the service is quite slow, leading to long waiting times, which can be frustrating. Cleanliness could also be improved to enhance overall comfort. Washhouse stands out with its distinctive concept and ambiance. If the cocktails were refined, the alcohol content adjusted, and service speed improved, this place could easily become one of Manchester’s top bars. Still, for those looking for a unique and immersive experience, it is definitely worth a visit.”
“Drinks were tasty but not very strong. Staff was buzzing around hurriedly, took a bit to get served and get the bill, which is annoying when they give you a two hour time limit on your reservation. Otherwise, it was dark and the music was loud. We were sat by the bar where the bar staff kept screaming “service” to the wait staff. If you’re looking for a rumpus night out it’s probably a good time.”
